Stop reconciling six vendors - a single source of truth across every yard and shop

In short

Vendor sprawl is a reconciliation problem before it is a procurement problem. Parking sits in one portal, transport in email, recon on paper, charging in an app, and title in a spreadsheet, so a unit’s history is rebuilt by hand for every question. Parq.ai holds a single source of truth per VIN that every vendor can update, with unlimited users and no per-seat cost, so data consolidates even if you keep every supplier.

The real cost of sprawl is not the invoices

Operators usually call vendor sprawl a purchasing problem: too many contracts, rates, and administration. That is real but rarely the expensive part. The expensive part is that no system knows a unit’s whole life, so every question, such as why it took eleven days or who had it when the bumper was damaged, needs a person to reassemble a history from five sources that were never built to agree.

Two consequences follow. Disputes become unwinnable, because no continuous record exists and each vendor holds only a fragment. And vendor performance becomes unmeasurable, because you cannot compare two shops when one reports in a portal and the other on paper. You renew on relationship and instinct, not data.

Consolidate the record before you consolidate the supply base

Do this part first. It is the cheaper of the two. If every vendor writes events to the single source of truth, you get a continuous history immediately, with no renegotiation, no transition, and no risk of switching a shop mid-program. After a season of matching data, you can keep vendors on evidence, not impression.

Doing it in the other order is how consolidation projects go wrong. Switching suppliers first means you lose the history you had and gain a new system of record at the same moment, and any problem in the following quarter is unattributable.

What changes for the vendors themselves

Pricing is per asset per month with unlimited users, so carriers, clients, shops, and auction partners use the single source of truth at no extra seat cost. That matters: vendors usually stay in their own systems because someone would have to pay for their access. Removing the per-seat objection removes the main excuse.

Shared records and sign-offs make a handoff one event two parties confirm, not two records that later disagree. If you also use ParkMyFleet facilities, those events write to the VIN automatically, but they are optional. Parq works with the yards, vendors, and shops you already have.

What this looks like in your operation

Rental and mobility fleets. Recon, wash, transport, and title vendors touch a unit between one rental and the next. Turnaround is the sum of their handoffs, and it is only improvable once you can see the whole chain.

Auto logistics and remarketing. You may be the vendor in someone else's sprawl while managing your own. Being the party who can produce the continuous record is a commercial advantage, not just an internal convenience.

Last-mile and delivery. Maintenance, charging, and cleaning vendors vary site to site, which makes network-level standards hard to hold. One record makes site comparison honest.

AV and robotaxi operations. Sensor calibration, cleaning, charging, and depot services are frequently specialist and frequently third-party. Every one of those touches is a safety-relevant event that needs to land on the same unit history.

If a vendor will not use software

Some will not, and that is workable. Whoever on your side receives the unit back records the event, so the gate still enforces and the history stays continuous. You lose only the vendor's own timestamps. Make participation a line in the next agreement, not a fight today.

Frequently asked questions

No. Pricing is per asset per month with unlimited users. Carriers, clients, shops, and auction partners work from the single source of truth at no additional per-seat cost.

No. Parq works with your existing yards, vendors, and shops. If you also use ParkMyFleet facilities, events at those hubs write to the single source of truth automatically, but they are not a requirement.

The handoff is recorded by your own team when the unit is received back, so the gate still enforces and the VIN history stays continuous. You lose that vendor’s internal timestamps, not the record itself. Most operators make participation a condition at the next renewal rather than a confrontation mid-term.
